Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Auto Typer browser extension and the AutoTyper.ai website (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

What the Service does

Auto Typer types text that you provide into an editor you’ve chosen, at a configurable pace. It’s a productivity tool that automates keystrokes; it does not write content for you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any school, university, employer, or other institution’s policies — including academic-integrity or examination rules. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use is permitted in your context.
• Misrepresent authorship of work, or otherwise engage in academic dishonesty or fraud.
• Break the terms of service of any website you use the Service with, including Google Workspace.
• Violate any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual-property or privacy rights.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to circumvent the security of the Service.

You are responsible for the text you type and where you type it. We provide a tool; how you use it is up to you and at your own risk.

Third-party services

The Service works alongside third-party products (such as Google Docs and the AI chat assistants it can open). We don’t control those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. We’re not responsible for their availability or behavior.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every site or browser version.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoTyper.ai and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, work, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (which, for the free extension, is zero).

Changes

We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time.
